    After you finish that, you should go through the reading from last class and fill in responses to the "Grendel" section reading Qs.
    By then, everyone should be done with the quiz so we will move on! We have some literary devices to take definitions on and understand, then we're going back into the text to apply those devices to our reading.
    Here is the Cornell Note template (save in GoodReader so you always have a blank copy):

    Wednesday, September 20:
    Let's do a review (or first time peek) at the Tutorial Process! Yay!
    I have divided you in to groups to jigsaw out the key information re: tutorials. You will need the doc below to work with your group.
    {Steps of Tutorial Process.pdf}
    After our jigsaw, I have a little summary to complete before we start our mock tutorology session.
    We'll wrap up today with a forward thinking handout on what an ideal session looks like.

    We are wrapping up your goal discussions with a fun 4 Corners intro and then a letter writing activity. While the class writes, I will be finishing my one-on-one meetings with the rest of the class for organization.

    I have an active reading chart and quote sheet to help us work through the story together.

    Read "The Yellow Wallpaper" and take marginal notes.
    Be ready to FULLY discuss in class on Tuesday and apply outside sources

    Tuesday, September 19:
    We are going to spend all day today with "The Yellow Wallpaper" :)
    Let's start with a fast summary activity of the story you read over the weekend--I'd like you to create a visual/pictorial summary of the plot/theme/tone/etc and be ready to present to the class.
    After that, we will get into the nitty-gritty of the story. You will work in small groups on reading/discussion questions, which will then be jigsawed to the class at large. I'll give you paper copies the Qs, but they are posted here as well.
    {YWP_Discussion Qs.pdf}
    Finally, we'll wrap up a mini Philosophical Chairs activity in which you agree, disagree, or change your mind regarding an Op-Ed piece printed at the time "TYWP" was published.

    Friday, September 15:
    I want to start with your homework from last night and give you a chance to talk with a partner to go through the questions that you created. Your questions will guide our conversation about "Wear and Tear" and help us better understand our next short story.
